The main organizer of the conference is the Department of Mathematics and Descriptive Geometry of Faculty of Civil Engineering of Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STU), the Armed Forces Academy of General Milan Rastislav Štefánik in Liptovský Mikuláš (AFA), the Institute for Research and Applications of Fuzzy Modeling (IRAFM), University of Ostrava and the Working Group for Fuzzy Set Theory and Applications of the Slovak Mathematical and Physical Association, in co-operation with EUSFLAT working group AGOP and SIPKES s.r.o.

About STU

"Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STU) is a modern educational and scientific institution. It was established in the year 1937. At present, the STU consists of seven faculties based in Bratislava and Trnava. About IRAFM

"The Institute for Research and Applications of Fuzzy Modeling (IRAFM) was established in September 1996 under the support of the Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic as a scientific place of work belonging to the University of Ostrava. IRAFM is one of few research institutes in the world working in the field of Soft Computing and have significantly contributed to the state of the art of such a field, namely to the theory of mathematical fuzzy logic and the related algebraic functions, fuzzy approximation, general theory of fuzzy IF-THEN rules, general theory of linguistic meaning, approximate reasoning, and multi-criteria decision-making. The workers of IRAFM gave lectures in more than 25 countries in Europe, America and Asia. Starting from July 1, 2011, IRAFM has become the Division University of Ostrava of the IT4Innovations." About AFA

"The Armed Forces Academy of General Milan Rastislav Štefánik in Liptovský Mikuláš (AFA) as a state university is a military educational institution which does not have faculties in its structure. The AFA is the only educational institution in the Slovak Republic which provides military professionals with the academic background in order to prepare them for military service. The AFA provides students with three levels of university education in the fourteen different academic programmes. The AFA provides further education in career, professional and specialized courses for both military and civilian personnel. The Armed Forces Academy is focused on research and technological support for defence projects providing a basis for the development of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic." Source: aos.sk
