Travel information
Sunday, January 25, 2026 is the suggested arrival day, since the Conference will start on Monday, January 26, 2026 at 9:00. The airports in Bratislava (about 300 km from Liptovský Mikuláš), Vienna (about 60 km from Bratislava) and Prague (about 500 km from Liptovský Mikuláš) provide plane connections with major cities all over the world. There are very good and regular train and bus connections between Vienna and Bratislava.
Best option for most foreign participants
From Vienna Airport, you can take a direct bus to Bratislava Main Railway Station. Tickets can be purchased on the following website: https://www.slovaklines.sk/en/vienna-schwechat-airport/From Bratislava Main Railway Station, there are regular trains to Liptovský Mikuláš, usually every hour during the day. Train tickets can be bought online here: https://www.zssk.sk/en/
Once you arrive in Liptovský Mikuláš, the FSTA shuttle buses will be waiting for participants and will take you directly to the Alexandra Wellness Hotel.

The following items will not be needed, as the organizers will take care of your transportation,
for example by using the FSTA buses that will carry you from the Liptovský Mikuláš train station
to the conference hotel and back.

Note that for FSTA participants we will organize special buses for the transfer to the hotel (and on Friday to the railway station in Liptovský Mikuláš). These buses will wait for FSTA participants on the bus terminal (when going out of the railway station hall, go to the left around 70 meters), and they will have indication FSTA. The planned departures of our special buses will be announced later.
You can travel by regular bus from the bus terminal in Liptovský Mikuláš to Liptovský Ján to bus stop "Alexandra Wellness Hotel" or "Ďumbier" (not all buses go up to the hotel, it's a 1 km walk from the bus stop "Ďumbier" to the Alexandra Wellness Hotel). Travel by bus takes approximately 30 minutes and 13 km. The bus terminal is beside of the railway station in Liptovský Mikuláš.
The buses taking FSTA participants back from the hotel to the Liptovský Mikuláš train terminal on Friday, January 30, will be announced later.
